I’m Shiona, a PhD candidate with an 8 year background in economics & political theory. After relocating from Fiji to U.S, I was struck by the absence of meaningful economic discourse in public settings. Through my involvement in numerous impactful research projects, I developed the concept for Vogue Economics, inspired by my experiences and travels.
I have several years of industry experience working for agencies like the ERS and the U.S Treasury, as well as the private sector. I want to create meaningful discussions about the economic issues that influence our daily lives and communities. Vogue Economics empowers individuals to understand the world around them and effectively utilize the resources available to them.

My work involves inspiring students, guiding them through their academic journeys, and contributing to sustainable development with practical solutions. Fluent in both French and English, I thrive in multicultural environments and bring a global perspective to my academic and professional pursuits.
